Keeping the Kiddies Busy This School Holiday – A Day Out in Hoedspruit

Looking for fun, family-friendly ways to keep your little ones entertained these school holidays? We recently spent a magical day exploring some hidden gems just outside Hoedspruit, and it’s a perfect outing if you’ve got toddlers or young kids to keep busy!

Our first stop was the delightful Mohlatsi Mango Farm, where my 2-year-old was in absolute heaven. The beautifully manicured lawns were perfect for running wild and burning off that school holiday energy. He loved hopping on the mini tractors and climbing all over the jungle gym – while we soaked in the peaceful surroundings with spectacular mountain views. Of course, no trip to the mango farm is complete without a refreshing frozen yogurt from the Mango Shop – the perfect treat to cool down under the Lowveld sun.

After all the fun, we made our way down to The Baobab Restaurant, a charming pancake haven nestled between the farms. This spot is a must-visit – not just for their mouthwatering pancakes, but also for the enormous baobab tree that stands proudly in the centre of the garden. There’s a spacious play area for the kids, giving parents a chance to sit back and relax while the little ones explore and play.

From farm fun to fluffy pancakes and fresh air, it was a perfect day out – simple, scenic, and filled with giggles. If you’re in or around Hoedspruit this school break, we highly recommend this easy and enjoyable outing for the whole family.
